Privacy Policy

RoxLab Cleaner helps you understand and manage storage on your device. Your photos, videos, and files are analyzed locally on your phone. We do not upload your personal files to our servers. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our Android application and this website.
1. Introduction
RoxLab Cleaner is provided by RoxLab. This policy applies to the Android app (package com.roxlab.cleaner) and to this marketing website. By using the app or the site, you acknowledge this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the product.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect:
• Device and app usage data (such as app opens, feature usage, and crash-free performance) through Firebase Analytics.
• Advertising-related data through Google AdMob when you use the free version.
• Subscription and purchase status through Google Play Billing.
• App preferences you save in the app (theme, language, notification settings).
If you contact us, we receive the name, email address, and message you send.
This website may collect standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) from our hosting provider.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect the contents of your photos, videos, documents, contacts, or messages. File names and file paths are not sent to our analytics services. RoxLab Cleaner does not require you to create a RoxLab account.
4. Device Permissions
Depending on the features you use, the app may request:
• Media access (photos, videos, and audio on Android 13+) or storage access on earlier Android versions — to scan files.
• Usage access — to identify apps you have not opened recently.
• Notifications — optional, for reminders you enable in settings.
• Network access — for ads, analytics, remote configuration, and purchases.
Permissions are requested in context. You can deny or revoke them in Android Settings. Features that need a permission will not work fully without it.
5. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
• Operate and improve RoxLab Cleaner.
• Show ads to free users and measure ad performance.
• Process subscriptions and restore purchases.
• Understand which features are useful so we can improve the product.
• Respond to support requests you send us.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. File and Storage Access
Storage scans, duplicate detection, large-file analysis, junk cleanup, screenshot review, unused-app listing, and cleanup actions are performed on your device. Deleting files requires your confirmation through Android system dialogs. RoxLab Cleaner cannot recover files you choose to delete.
7. Advertising
The free version may display ads. Ad availability can change based on your region, device, and product settings, including Firebase Remote Config. RoxLab Pro removes ads. Cleaning and scanning do not depend on watching ads.
8. Google AdMob
Ads are served by Google AdMob. Advertising may involve device identifiers and other information according to Google’s advertising policies. Google may use this information to show ads, measure performance, and prevent fraud. You can also review advertising controls in your Google account and Android settings.
9. Analytics and Firebase
RoxLab Cleaner uses Firebase Analytics to understand app opens and feature usage, and Firebase Remote Config to adjust product settings such as whether ads are enabled. These services are provided by Google. Analytics events do not include the contents of your files. Firebase is initialized only when the app is configured with a Firebase project.
10. Third-Party Services
RoxLab Cleaner uses:
• Google AdMob — advertising for free users.
• Firebase Analytics and Firebase Remote Config — product analytics and configuration.
• Google Play Billing — subscription management.
These providers process data under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com.
This website is hosted by our hosting provider, which may process technical logs needed to operate the site.
11. Data Retention
Preferences are stored on your device until you clear app data or uninstall. Analytics and advertising data are retained by Google according to their policies. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to respond and operate the product. We do not keep copies of the files you scan.
12. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information we handle. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Cleaning actions happen on your device through Android APIs.
13. Children's Privacy
RoxLab Cleaner is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
14. International Users
RoxLab Cleaner is distributed through Google Play and may be used in many countries. Information processed by Google services may be stored or processed in the United States or other locations where Google operates. If you use the app from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with data-protection laws, you may have additional rights described in the next section.
15. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal information, or to object to certain processing. Because most file analysis happens on your device, the primary control is on your phone: revoke permissions, disable notifications, upgrade to Pro to remove ads, or uninstall the app.
For analytics or advertising data processed by Google, use Google’s privacy tools or contact us and we will help where we can. You can also:
• Deny or revoke app permissions in Android Settings.
• Restore or manage subscriptions through Google Play.
• Uninstall the app to stop further collection by RoxLab Cleaner.
16. Data Deletion / Contact
RoxLab Cleaner does not create a RoxLab user account. Uninstalling the app removes the app and its local data from your device.
If you want help with a deletion request related to support email or other information we hold, contact hello@roxlabhq.com. We may need enough detail to find the relevant records. Do not send passwords or payment card numbers.
For Google Play purchases, manage or cancel subscriptions in Google Play.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy. Material changes may also be noted in the app or on the Google Play listing.
