Privacy Policy

RoxLab Cleaner helps you understand and manage storage on your device. Your photos, videos and files are analyzed locally on your device. We do not upload your personal files to our servers. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our iPhone and Android apps and this website.
1. Introduction
RoxLab Cleaner is provided by RoxLab. This policy applies to the iOS app, the Android app (package com.roxlab.cleaner) and this marketing website. By using the app or the site, you acknowledge this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the product.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect:
• On Android: device and app usage data (such as app opens and feature usage) through Firebase Analytics.
• Advertising-related data through Google AdMob when you use the free version.
• Subscription and purchase status through the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Billing (Android).
• App preferences you save in the app (theme, language, Smart Keep and notification settings).
If you contact us, we receive the name, email address and message you send.
This website may collect standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) from our hosting provider.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect the contents of your photos, videos, documents, contacts or messages. File names and file paths are not sent to our analytics services. RoxLab Cleaner does not require you to create a RoxLab account.
4. Device Permissions
Depending on the features you use, the app may request:
• Photo library access on iPhone (full or limited) and media access on Android — to scan photos and videos. If you choose limited access, RoxLab Cleaner only sees the photos you selected and tells you so.
• Usage access on Android — to identify apps you have not opened recently.
• Notifications on Android — optional, for reminders you enable.
• Tracking on iPhone — Apple’s prompt asks whether ads may use your device identifier. You can decline and still use the app.
• Network access — for ads, purchases and (on Android) analytics and remote configuration.
Permissions are requested in context. You can deny or revoke them in your device settings. Features that need a permission will not work fully without it.
5. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
• Operate and improve RoxLab Cleaner.
• Show ads to free users and measure ad performance.
• Process purchases and restore access.
• Understand which features are useful so we can improve the product (Android).
• Respond to support requests you send us.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. File and Storage Access
Scans, duplicate and similar-photo detection, large-file analysis, screenshot review and cleanup actions are performed on your device. Removing photos requires your confirmation and also goes through the iOS or Android system confirmation.
On iPhone, removed photos and videos move to Apple’s Recently Deleted album for 30 days, where you can recover them, and RoxLab Cleaner cannot empty that album. On Android, removed items are permanently deleted and RoxLab Cleaner cannot recover them. If a photo is stored in iCloud, iOS may download it to show a preview; this is done by Apple, not by RoxLab servers.
7. Advertising
The free version may display ads. Ad availability can change by region, device and product settings. RoxLab Pro removes ads. Cleaning and scanning do not depend on watching ads.
8. Google AdMob
Ads are served by Google AdMob. Advertising may involve device identifiers and other information according to Google’s advertising policies. Google may use this information to show ads, measure performance and prevent fraud. On iPhone, we ask for Apple’s tracking permission and Google’s consent form where required before ads load. 9. Analytics and Firebase (Android)
The Android app uses Firebase Analytics to understand app opens and feature usage, and Firebase Remote Config to adjust product settings such as whether ads are enabled. These services are provided by Google. Analytics events do not include the contents of your files. The iPhone app does not use Firebase.
10. Third-Party Services
RoxLab Cleaner uses:
• Google AdMob (and Google’s consent platform on iPhone) — advertising for free users.
• Firebase Analytics and Remote Config on Android — product analytics and configuration.
• The App Store (StoreKit) on iPhone and Google Play Billing on Android — purchases and subscriptions.
These providers process data under their own privacy policies. This website is hosted by our hosting provider, which may process technical logs needed to operate the site.
11. Data Retention
Preferences are stored on your device until you clear app data or uninstall. Analytics and advertising data are retained by Google according to their policies. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to respond and operate the product. We do not keep copies of the files you scan.
12. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information we handle. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Cleaning actions happen on your device through official iOS and Android APIs.
13. Children's Privacy
RoxLab Cleaner is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
14. International Users
RoxLab Cleaner is distributed through the App Store and Google Play and may be used in many countries. Information processed by Google or Apple services may be stored or processed in the United States or other locations where they operate. If you use the app from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another region with data-protection laws, you may have additional rights described in the next section.
15. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict certain personal information, or to object to certain processing. Because file analysis happens on your device, the primary control is on your phone: revoke permissions, disable notifications, upgrade to Pro to remove ads, or uninstall the app.
For analytics or advertising data processed by Google or Apple, use their privacy tools or contact us and we will help where we can.
16. Data Deletion / Contact
RoxLab Cleaner does not create a RoxLab user account. Uninstalling the app removes the app and its local data from your device.
If you want help with a deletion request related to support email or other information we hold, contact hello@roxlabhq.com. We may need enough detail to find the relevant records. Do not send passwords or payment card numbers.
For purchases, manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy. Material changes may also be noted in the app or on the store listing.
